Lydie Samie

Lydie Samie is a forensic scientist, with a specialization in interpretation of DNA evidence. She has obtained her master degree in Forensic Science at the SCJ (Lausanne, Switzerland) and -in 2019- her Ph.D. degree on the evaluation of DNA results considering propositions at the activity level. She is proficient in the use of Bayesian Networks, both for research and casework purposes. Since 2018, she has been working as a DNA expert at the Forensic Genetic Unit of the University Center of Legal Medicine, Lausanne – Geneva. Part of her work involves the assessment of DNA results given activity level propositions.
