WORKSHOP SUMMARY

The study of kinship and genetic relatedness is central in forensic genetics. The aim of this course is to introduce the elegant statistical foundations of pedigree analysis, as well as several forensic applications. Various softwares will be introduced, including Familias, R/pedsuite and QuickPed.

Each session will alternate between lectures and hands-on exercises, so that the first half is more theoretical and the second half more practical. Solutions for all exercises will be provided and discussed at the end of each session.
