Dear Colleagues,
We are working on the second phase of theis Working Commission (collaborative exercise using the samples of the GHEP proficiency test, with the help of Koro Fernandez). Those who want to participate must fill in the form GHEP-MPS2019_EN_form and sign the document GHEP-MPS2019_commitment.
Once you have completed these documents, you can send them to: pedro.barrio@justicia.es (CC: intcf.eiadn@justicia.es; lourditasmt@gmail.com)
The deadline for submitting results is: July 8, 2019
Thank you!
Previous information of this Commission
Goals:
- To carry out a survey on the level of implementation and the future perspectives that the GHEP labs have on this technology
- To organize a first collaborative exercise in 2017 or 2018 (probably, on the samples of the GHEP proficiency test, with the help of Koro Fernandez)
- To promote the collection of population and validation data, as well as the collaboration with other international databases (STRIDER, EMPOP and YHRD)
- …/…
We are interested in all types of data that are currently applied to the forensic field and more specifically:
- Autosomal STRs, Y-STRs, and X-STRs,
- Autosomal and Y/X chromosome SNPs/InDels (Identity, Ancestry and Phenotypic panels)
- mtDNA MPS data (Control region and whole genome)
See presentation of this new commission at the XXI GHEP meeting (Bayahibe, 2016)
See results of the survey in the XXII GHEP Conference (Coimbra, 2017): Aplicaciones Forenses de la Secuenciación Masiva: Antonio Alonso (only available in Spanish)

Thank you very much for your interest!!
